The bike is as narrow as possible, for maximum lean angle, light in weight, with a low centre of gravity. It is fitted a completely new extra long rear swing arm to minimise rear geometry change. The chassis is CNC machined from 2mm and 3mm carbon fibre and all connecting pillars are CNC machined high quality alloy. The main features are listed below:-
Longer rear swing arm – 15mm longer.
Special version of Mk3 front forks - smoother and stiffer with ball joint protection.
New geometry headstock with 4 ball races for kingpin.
Swing arm designed to accept 68, 70 and 72 link chains making 4.5mm difference to wheelbase with each change to chain length.
The KP10n nitro bike has been 3 years in development as we are determined that it should have performance at least comparable to our electric powered bikes. Prototypes have competed and placed in the ‘A’ finals of the last two World Championships, and with our latest developments we have now got the performance we wanted.
