The Patriot has been developed from experience racing the Marder and Leopard off road cars. Many of the minor parts are
standard FG. The main features available are as follows:

New stiffer chassis with high kick up front end.

Increased suspension movement.

Better damping. Long stroke shockers all round.

Improved adjustable anti roll bars.

Alloy wishbones all round.
-
Fixed 3 degree toe in on rear wishbones.

Pivot pins with replaceable bushes.

Hydraulic brakes all round.

Alloy radio plate with accommodation for the
hydraulics

Alloy wheel drivers for the rear wheels.

Alloy wheel uprights.

Improved suspension geometry

Low centre of gravity.

In order to reduce cost we are introducing
basic kits
of all the relevant parts to convert an existing FG car, as follows:

KPD300a - Rear end kit. This kit supplies the lower
rear wishbones, pivot pins and new shocker tower to make a complete
working rear end using existing parts from an existing car. Will fit
on the standard FG chassis or the new KPD one. Note This
unit is not compatible with the standard FG transmission brake.

KPD300b - Front end kit with
new chassis. This kit supplies the new chassis, all the front
wishbones with inserted rose joints, pivot pins shocker tower and top
plate and 4mm anti roll bar set to make a complete working front end
using existing parts from an existing car.

KPD300c - Front end kit with
new chassis. This kit supplies the new chassis, all the front
wishbones tapped for FG ball joints, pivot pins shocker tower and top
plate and 4mm anti roll bar set to make a complete working front end
using existing parts from an existing car.

KPD306 - Optional anti roll bar for rear end.

Standard KPD parts such as KPD011 hydraulic brakes,
KPD102 -105 alloy
radio plates, KPD094 alloy wheel uprights, and KPD110 alloy wheel
spiders, are recommended.

KPD319 - Special rear springs - set of various grades.
-
Note that the pictures
show the car with all available options fitted.

Increased suspension movement front and rear. Travel now
gives chassis clearance of 70mm to minus20mm according to set up.

The car can be fitted with the new Mk2 brakes which have greater
wheel clearance, a quicker action and more delicate touch. They give
perfect balance side to side and have awesome stopping power.

Also recommended to complete the installation is a
specially designed alloy radio plate;
KPD102 for Hitec 805 servo KPD103
for Hitec Digital,
KPD103 for Multiplex Jumbo and KPD104 for Tonegawa and KPD105 for
single or double Volz steering servos. Radio plate includes an alloy battery mounting
strap and special adaptor to operate both throttle and brake from one
output over ride. Other servo fittings may become available subject to
demand.
Colour coded springs giving 3 carefully selected stiffness,
to complement the new suspension and extend the range of FG springs KPD319.

The chassis is made from high grade 4mm alloy, with edges
deep formed to 45 degree for increase stiffness, and a steep kick up
angle for the front suspension.
Pivot pins are minimum length and made of stainless steel running in
replaceable bushes.

Alloy wheel drivers (KPD110) to prevent rounding of wheel centres
fitted to rear wheels. These adaptors can only be used with the offset
wheels and wheel drivers squares of 14mm length or greater.
.Rear suspension runs on solid stainless steel pivot pins running in replaceable
bushes fitted in machined from solid alloy bar diff riser.
